Maximum Number Of Inbox Items?

I was just wondering, how many messages can the SPV store? I currently have over 100 in my inbox but for some reason i don't seem to be getting any more messages through (and yes, people have tried sending me them!). Could this be because the memory is full? There is no indicator telling me that my inbox is full, which could be a problem.
