Guest Amaze Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 In sound options I can choose a "start up" sound among the ringtones but with no sound :? I tryed to locate the startup sound wav/mid file on the phone with no luck. Somone lucky SPV owner who knows the name on the file and how to change the startup sound ??
Guest madu Posted December 27, 2002 Report Posted December 27, 2002 You have to navigate to: IPSMWindowsStartUp and place your .WAV there, though it might slow down SPV startup..
Guest Jayprod Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Great trick! but how to erase the wav file when it become useless to have a startup sound???
Guest th0mz Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 It can easily be deleted. No issues there.......... :D
Guest niglin Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 I have been reading this post and have done what has been asked, Yes it works well as you phone boots up, But it will not let me Reome the file from the directory, Is it a read only location, Can anyone help with this as i do not want Homer Simpson shooting at me every time I switch the phone on. Thank you
Guest Vanbast Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 I had this problem too. It seems whichever application plays this file never lets go of it so you can't delete it. However I found I could actually move the file within the phone. If you can do this then just move it to a different folder, re-boot and then delete it. BTW read my Extra Device Sounds thread for another way of setting up a Startup Sound. This is the method I am using now and I haven't had any problems as of yet. Mark
