Guest ant_thomas Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I rang up about three weeks ago to request the unlocking code for my SPV and they said it'd be 10 days so i wait ten days and then just waited some more until i rang them up yesterday complaining that they'd lied to me about the ten days and that should give me my unlocking code as I am willing to pay, low and behold they have rang up today and given it to me, I have had to pay off the remainder of the contract but I'm not bothered and it only cost £20 So I now have an unlocked SPV and get any orange updates that I need and still use my O2 sim card otherwise I no longer have to do the battery trick
Guest sahli Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 this is great, and very surprising, Orange in Switzerland said they will not provide even if I pay for it.... any chance that I can get it from you?
Guest ant_thomas Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 I didn't write the unlocking code down, sorry, but the code is source from the IMEI number of the phone so each one is different
Guest LiquidFX Posted December 28, 2002 Report Posted December 28, 2002 it depends on the laws u see, legally after a few months in the UK oftel have ruled that if the user requests an unlock code it must be given (with what ever relevent feas the operator wished to charge) but orange basically cant say no.
