Guest The unexpected guest ! Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 Then go there: http://xda-developers.com/ They are HTC ROM specialists!
Guest NXNM Posted December 29, 2002 Report Posted December 29, 2002 I notice you seem to post alot about these XDA's. Am i correct in assuming this is somthing completely different to the SPV???? If so i dont see the relevence to the SPV forum ( please note that im not up on the xda and have not got my spv yet, so no offence met, just and observation#)
Guest davidhorn Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 XDA and SPV are made by the same company - as such, they both share a lot of identical features, ie, connectors, and, interestingly, ROMS.
Guest Shuflie Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 Explain to me how an XDA ROM for a device with touchscreen technology an PocketPC OS would work for an SPV with keypad and Smartphone OS?
Guest DJHope Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 VERY intresting, has anyone tried flashing the xda software to smartphone! I doubt it would work, however their is an intresting app their which might allow someone with a rom that has certification switched off to dump their rom, and allow us to flash it onto our phones. nice :D XDA and Smartphone sound very similar, we have a bootloader like the one their talking about. "The XDA has the ability to read and write ROM images to SD card (ed: so does the smartphone). Using the XDA Rom Image Tool (XDArit.exe), you can use a Windows PC to read SD-cards created by the phone, and write to them as well. The program will also read the .nbf files distributed with the firmware upgrade software." Ever since florin_m went away it seems that smartphone hacking dosnt exsist anymore. Great shame.
