Guest Bunchie Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 Hi there, I,ve been in the process of making ringtones to try out and use on my brand new shiny smartphone and thought that others would perhaps like to have them. I,ve raided my MP3 collection and come up with a bit of a variety of stuff.Perhaps you have not yet got round to making your own and in which case feel free to use the ones i have made with links below. I,m not claiming them to be brilliant or anything and I have not tested all of them but give em a whirl. They are all in .wav format and can be copied straight into the windows directory of your phone.. 1. Michael Jackson - Billie Jean * An absoulte classic * http://uploads.illstyle.net/billiejean.wav 2. The Birdie Song * Relive those classic school disco moments.. lol * http://uploads.illstyle.net/birdiesong.wav 3. Blackstreet - No Diggety http://uploads.illstyle.net/blackstreet.wav 4. Underworld - Born Slippy * This works really well as an SMS alert i reckon and thats what i use it for http://uploads.illstyle.net/bornslippy2.wav 5. Gouryella * Classic Tiesto / Corsten trance track * http://uploads.illstyle.net/gouryella.wav 6. Heart of Gold * The ultimate happy hardcore track * http://uploads.illstyle.net/hardcore.wav 7. Faithless - Insomnia http://uploads.illstyle.net/insomnia.wav 8. Roots Manuva - Witness * Damn i love this beat... http://uploads.illstyle.net/manuva.wav 9. Matrix - Apache * A well fat drum and bass tune * http://uploads.illstyle.net/matrix.wav 10. Olive - You're Not Alone * Huge hit a few years ago * http://uploads.illstyle.net/olive.wav 11. Prodigy - Poison http://uploads.illstyle.net/prodigy.wav 12. Pink Floyd - The Wall http://uploads.illstyle.net/wall.wav 13. Squarepusher - Tundra *Mean and nasty dark breakbeat * http://uploads.illstyle.net/squarepusher.wav 14. Dj Zinc - Its Like That * Mean Drum and bass roller * http://uploads.illstyle.net/zinc.wav 15. Dom + Roland - Can't Punish Me * The one i,m using at the moment. Classic D+B * http://uploads.illstyle.net/domandroland.wav For convenience i have zipped all of them into one package which can be found at: http://uploads.illstyle.net/Ringtones.rar Unfortunately it is seven odd meg though so it could take a while... So there ya go.. Give em a go and if you like them i'll upload some more. Apologies for the lengthy post! Cheers Bunchie

Guest chris.owens Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 My SPV exclaims "Enterprise to Captain Kirk! Come in Captain Kirk!" when I get a call ... www.stsinsv.com Chris.
Guest The_Brickster Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Bunchie is there any chance of you doing a loud message alert tone? The standard ones are pathetic.
Guest HelloDave Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 The two best loud tones I've got are either Samuel L Jackson saying "oh i'm sorry, did I break your concentration" with a gunshot from Pulp Fiction, from here or a (very annoying if you don't want to hear it!) buzzer - .wav]http://www.bornsloppy.co.uk/spvsounds/Alar...rm_Sound[1].wav (copy the whole url - phpBB doesn't like it becuase of the [1]) from http://www.bornsloppy.co.uk/sounds.htm This site's quite good for general random sounds - http://www.psci.net/kellyk/wav_midi.htm
Guest Shire29 Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003  sorry me a bit thick but I downloaded the .rar file and, well what is it and what programme do I need to open/run it. Cheers, Shire
Guest philgriffiths Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 just go to downloads.com or somewhere like that and do a search for a program called winRAR, or i think a program called winACE might also do the trick. it works the same way as a zip, justa different form of compresssion. Hope this was helpful
Guest Shire29 Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Yes thx, I am at work and am not allowed to load executables onto my PC, so I'll try this at home tonight. Cheers, Shire
