Guest Bazz Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 1-In the getting started guide on p2.2 the spv has a record key and the say that it can record a conversation while you are on the line and talking to another person. Is this true or false and if true how can you get this to workNot possible. The manual shouldn't be including this (or about a million other features which were dropped - voice dialing... etc.). 2- on the home screen of the spv there is a line with SMS(0) and e-mail(0) has anyone ever got the emial(0) to populate with a number indicating that there a number of unopened emails awaiting attention eg email(5) would meand 5 email messages outstanding The Orange home screen is notoriously slow to update. Try the MS "Full" home screen. Barry
Guest Tahirh Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 How does one get the full MS home screen to come up. Again any help is much appreciated. T
Guest Emad Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 Go to Programs->Settings->Home Screen. Then change the Layout to 'Full' from Orange1 or whatever it is. Hit Done, then Home, and ta-da! That should do it. Bear it mind it'll go a bit slow while changing, but thats only about 10 seconds.. You can also change the colour scheme and background in that settings page.
Guest Tahirh Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 Hi Team, I have this to FULL now but the email(o) field is still; not populating despite me sending dummy emails to my account. I have spoken with support who are in the same boat as me and they do not know either. How does one have these fields populated?!!!. It seems to me that this was SUPPOSED to work in the manner described by me earlier but this seems to me ANOTHER bug.(How frustrating). I welcome your comments on this.
Guest crimminsky Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 you won't see the e-mail counter go up until you choose "send/receive mail" from the menu items, once you have connected your mail will be downloaded to your phone. IE your e-mail is stored on your POP server until you download to your phone and not sent directly to your phone. did that make any sense? :D
Guest Bazz Posted December 31, 2002 Report Posted December 31, 2002 Or it you set it to automatically check e-mail every so often. The counter lists unread e-mails on the phone (or at least is supposed to). It doesn't list unread e-mail on your e-mail server. Barry
Guest Tahirh Posted January 1, 2003 Report Posted January 1, 2003 crimminsky, thanks for the suggestion but this does not work even after send receive is pressed. my counter remains at zero! and im frustrated at my spv for this Barry/crimminsky, please give me details how to set this up to populate on my spv screen cheers
Guest Bazz Posted January 1, 2003 Report Posted January 1, 2003 Works for me using the full screen. Sure you aren't reading the e-mails after they arrive? The counter shows unread e-mails.
