Guest bestservechilled Posted December 30, 2002 Report Posted December 30, 2002 [Edited by Site Admin, thanks for the submission bestservechilled!] SYMPTOM: : When the headset has been connected and subsequently removed, my SPV has remained in headset mode and will not return to any other setting. RESOLUTION: This appears to be a hardware fault.
Guest budda Posted January 2, 2003 Report Posted January 2, 2003 I'm currently stuck in this mode too. Am considering doing the hard reset (see other thread with info on how it is done). Don't fancy changing settings again though :-/ Might just take it back and get a replacement.
Guest zenabi Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 bestservedchilled: If you haven't seen my instructions for a temporary fix to the problem view this thread: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=1444 budda: A hard reset would not make any difference beacause the problem is physical. I suggest you both get replacements. Call Orange and they should be able to get you one by the next day.
Guest dculbert Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Hi! Had the same problem, however after trying the push in pull out with the headphone jack numerous times - I found that (ok now don't laugh) if you blow pretty hard into the socket it will bring it back to Normal. Apparently it's a bit of dirt or something shorting a contact out. Well worked for me. But had it replaced - after 12 days of arguing with them about it. Rang orange to ask them about the problem.....they said "what's an spv?" *click*
