Plugged in cradle before installing Activesync? Fix here...

I'm now the proud owner of an SPV, however, it has been 4 hours since I turned it on first, and this ActiveSync is driving me crazy. I have followed every instruction down to the last 'T' and also done everything on your website.

Nothing is working. I'm seriously considering sending the bloody thing back as I haven't got time to faff around with it like I have today...

Any ideas?

Or if you live in Cornwall then please come to my house and sort it out!!!! Cheers, Benita x

ActiveSync just won't open when I connect my phone to PC.

Firstly, the wires and everything is OK because it's charging.

The ActiveSync logo remains grey when I connect phone to cradle.

I've even tried uninstalling and installing ActiveSync 3.7.

I've tried, on the Get Connected screen, connecting my phone, it makes the "connected" sound that it used to, and the Get Connected screen disappears, but the logo still remains grey!

I've tried cleaning the USB port/cable, the cradle, the phone contacts too, but no luck.

I may have been experimenting with Settings on my phone and/or PC, I don't know if that should stop it working

:)

Update: After writing this offline then going offline then online again, I've tried most of the things on this thread, but still same as before :D

Help me please if you can!

I have posted this post on:

I have had exactly the same problem as chewie describes in the first post here http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=768&start=0

I tried a number of things on this thread: http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=142&start=0.

But, none of them worked. I chose to do a hard reset eventually, and ActiveSync works as normal again. I'm doing things step by step on my phone and I intend to keep a lookout if it stops working, "what have I recently done that caused the problem?".
