Guest NickPike Posted January 1, 2003 Report Posted January 1, 2003 It would be great if you could empty the inbox/sent items folder in the same way as the 'Deleted' folder. ie the 'Empty Folder' Option. Rather than having to delete each item individually.
Guest Dazeon Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 I totally second this idea! Right on!
Guest serena-i Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 I would love it too, but since I set up to receive/send my emails from the SPV, the option (Empty folder) in the DELETED ITEMS has disappeared! So now it's one by one for all folders...:-( Anybody knows why this has happened?
Guest th0mz Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 Agree Nick... Totally, it pisses me off!!
Guest serena-i Posted January 15, 2003 Report Posted January 15, 2003 I rebooted mobile and set it up again to send/receive mails...The EMPTY FOLDER option is back! Thank God!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 Same here? Very strange it seems like doing a hard reset there underlying glitches My phone worked fine until I did the reset un-certify thing now thing start to happen .
Guest Bazz Posted February 8, 2003 Report Posted February 8, 2003 Even if we don't have a "Delete all" option it would be nice to be able to press the 3 key to delete a message (as this is also the 'd' key), rather than having to go through the menu each time...
Guest Speedy Posted February 13, 2003 Report Posted February 13, 2003 Definately, i really thing that this is a serious bug, not being able to delete all messages in inbox. Being pretty popular and all i often have tons of sms in my inbox that i want to delete fast (ok i admit it, is sms myself to make me seem popular) :) ;) No but seriously another thing is that, does anybody know which folder sms are stored in, if so i would be easy to delete them using activesync. Any ideas??
Guest jenneth Posted April 16, 2003 Report Posted April 16, 2003 IA File Manager Pack lets you delete all emails, and/or all SMSes using the "Space Make" utility. From the Handango listing: For Erase E-mail, you can choose to delete the following categories: All E-mail Only the E-mail items marked as "Read" Only the E-mail in the Deleted Items folder Only the E-mail in the Drafts folder Only the E-mail in the Inbox folder Only the E-mail in the Outbox folder Only the E-mail in the Sent Items folder For Erase SMS, you can choose to delete: All SMS items Only the Read SMS item I tried the demo version just then (14-day trial version) and it works just fine - managed to free 2.5 MB of emails in one hit! Handango listing
Guest tbrose Posted April 20, 2003 Report Posted April 20, 2003 You can go to http://www.smartphoneclub.net/smartphonecl...as/default.aspx and download the program "SMS Tools". You have to sign up first (free), and then you can download it (free)... It's a really nice prgram! tbrose
Guest vctor Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 yeah buts its only for inbox and sent items
Guest tbrose Posted May 13, 2003 Report Posted May 13, 2003 yeah buts its only for inbox and sent itemsYeah, but that's also what NickPike wanted - or what??! Read here: It would be great if you could empty the inbox/sent items folder in the same way as the 'Deleted' folder. ie the 'Empty Folder' Option. Rather than having to delete each item individually.
Guest SPVDave Posted June 6, 2003 Report Posted June 6, 2003 Just as a work-around, less key-strokes. You can select menu items by pressing a number instead of scrolling down the menu and pressing the action key. For example, if DELETE is the forth option in the list just press "4". You still have to press the MENU key first. But deleting a whole bunch of messages isn't quite so much a pain. The only problem here is that the menu lists are different depending on which folder you are in, so Delete may not always be the forth option. But now you can delete a whole bunch of messages by pressing MENU then "4" (for example) repeatedly. Still want the "Empty Folder" available in all folders though.
