I was wondering about the mxip_oem_10.provxml file

is it only used to check for the certifying, since i've might found a way to remove it from the rom file, I can't seem to change the values in the mxip_oem_10.provxml file since they are encrypted in some sort, but i think by removing the file from the rom it might be possible to run unsigned apps. Plz help since I don't want to fu#¤ up my phone too seriously.

mxip_oem_10.provxml is only read and processed once, which is when you turn on the phone for the "first" time. I doubt removing it will have much effect.

If you were to remove it from the ROM i'd expect it to have fairly adverse effects as this is what configures the OS on first boot, although maybe only to Orange specific settings

It would be interesting to compare the SPV provxml with one from say....Pauls certificate-less Tanager, or one of the development REDe's (if anyone can get hold of one).

Yeah that would be quite nice or if anyone could make a program that could read and write the files to the nbf rom file then all would be perfect.

Aren't there any programmers in this forum with the capabilities to create such a program????

I can feel I am getting close to figuring out where the code for the files are in the rom file, come on guys post some valuable information all us danes need it badly.

unlock it yet????

I had an idea on a procedure that might result in an unlocked dk2 spv, which I posted here, at the bottom of the page.

If anyone wants to give that a try, and let me know if it works ok then I'd appreciate it.
