Guest Bazz Posted March 25, 2003 Report Posted March 25, 2003 You can't use MPEGS only Windows Media Files - WMVs (or something like that - having a mental block at the mo). There is another media player available - it's discuess somewhere on this site. It may be able to help. Have a search and you should find it.
Guest madu Posted March 25, 2003 Report Posted March 25, 2003 PS: WMV - Windows Media Video WMA - Windows Media Audio
Guest rangemaster1 Posted March 27, 2003 Report Posted March 27, 2003 Right at the back of your SPV guide just before the index it tell you what file formats that Windows Mdia Player supports... .asf .asx .wax .wm .wma .wmv .wmx .wvx .mp3 Never heard of half of these and probably wont ever use them. Guest fozzie Posted July 26, 2003 Report Posted July 26, 2003 Lots of people do :) If you do a search on this forum, you'll find loads of posts and different ways of doing it. Personally, I use dBpowerAMP - Google for the site.
Guest a z n A6 b o y Posted September 6, 2003 Report Posted September 6, 2003 I know Im waking a dead thread here, but, I don't understand how the video is working on the Mio. I put a WMV file on my MMC card in the moviealbum section and when i try to find it in the phone it isn't there. Its not in the videoplayer file nor does windows media recognize it when i ask for local content. WHy can't my mio play videos?
Guest zinger Posted September 8, 2003 Report Posted September 8, 2003 you must have encoded the file wrong...use windows media encoder 8 not 9 and go to custom encode to encode it for pocket pc then after it is finish encoding then put in your mmc then your media player will find it on local content...I should know because i had the same problem and finally got it to work last week.
