Has anybody managed to successfully send a contact from the SPV to a Nokia handset such as the Nokia 8310?

The SPV claims it has sent it, but the 8310 never shows anything recieved. Is there a special technique? :D

I've managed to send a VCard to a Nokia 6310 with no problems. I selected the contact and then went to menu...beam contact. The SPV recognised the 6310 as a "Nokia 6310" and beamed to it no problem. The phones were a few cm apart. I can beam contacts to my printer too and it'll print them. (Not really relevant but proves the SPV sends standard VCards)

hmmm... not sure whats wrong with the IRDA, but my SPV refuses to send or reiceve anything from my siemens SL45i.

My old Siemens phone could send and recieve contacts from every make of phone i've tried before. So i think it's a problem with the SPV itself.

I've been successful sending contacts to a Nokia 6210 but witha 7110 I get the same problem - i.e. SPV claims to have sent but 7110 does not receive it. It also did the same thing beaming contacts to an iPAQ which is something I really would expect to work.

I am beginning to suspect my SPV may have had a defective IR port though because it did go through periods where my Dell laptop could not see it even though the modem link had been activated.

I've just had a new one delivered (in less than 24 hours from me calling them and on New Years Day - well done Orange!) because the unit failed completely. I've yet to try it out with other devices yet, I'll let you know if I have more success.
