Yes, it's true, In her wisdom, my girlfriend washed my jeans in a Dyson washing machine, with my SPV camera in the pocket. To my amazement, it still works!!

Needed to take the front lens holder off to get rid of a bit of dampness, but I now a have a lovely clean camera! :)

I can confirm that the camera is NOT Guinness-proof, although i may stick it the washing machine tonight after reading this (its OK tho, i have a spare)

The SPV is vinigar proof (it wasn't submerged, just had a bottle of vinigar splashed on it). Well, it hasn't gone wrong.....yet

Did you get a full replacement set but only sent your phone and charger back? ;-)

Also confirm that the camera is drop proof. Chased a shoplifter and my spv flew out of my pocket with the camera attached :x camera case split open but i pushed it together & no probs since :)

No!

Orange only asks for phone, battery and charger back

(gues that's what they refurbish), then they send whole kits

back.

Another user of this forum posted that he even specifically

asked if they didn't want the accessories back, when he

returned his phone for good in the 14 day period and they

said they were his to keep!

So where have you got a spare one from then???

Well all I can say is hooray for Orange emergency care. I won't go into too much detail about what my SPV went through, lets just say it doesn't like being dropped in the toilet.

It did smell for a few days, espiecally in the SDIO slot for some reason, also my SD card was being very eratic for those couple of days. Works fine and is smell free now tho, will prob stop working in a few months knowing my luck.

shouldn't happen to me, cause I have a shock- and water- protecting

universal case which I got due to the fact that my 6210 died before its

contract was finished after dropping it hundreds of times.

Yea, It better than sniffing Glue :? , lol. When my SD card started working eratically I took the card out and blew in the slot, then got a strong smell of vinager.

NOTE: I do not sniff glue.
