SPV contract question

hi all

i have read posts of people who have bought SPV's for their loved ones or friends, when they do this, are they (the person who bought it) in charge of the contract fully i.e. have to pay the bills and its their phone ?

or can the person who bought it transfer it to the person who they bought it for, contract and all ?

and they'll explain everything, new account holder will be credit checked, once this is done, and authorisation has been taken from both parties (it involves letters being sent out) then the transfer will take effect. Whole process usually takes about 1 month. Original account holder is liable for line rental and calls made during the period before transfer.
