Guest phoenix Posted January 2, 2003 Report Posted January 2, 2003 IS there any way that you can set up the email client to receive hotmail messages?? :?
Guest The Futures Bright Posted January 2, 2003 Report Posted January 2, 2003 Pop along to the URL below on your SPV. :D http://mobile.msn.com/pocketpc/home.asp
Guest stu.mcandrew Posted January 2, 2003 Report Posted January 2, 2003 The only way I know is to access it via the browser on the SPV http://mobile.msn.com/pocketpc/home.asp I would be most impressed if it someone has figured out how to get it to work with the Inbox
Guest spacemonkey Posted January 2, 2003 Report Posted January 2, 2003 Don't know about hotmail specifically but I'd imagine it's similar to Yahoo... Basically the free service from most of these guys is a web only service. The reason they do this is that web access makes you view the adds and everything. Yahoo offers a subscription service that is like US$15/year which then enables your account for POP access. This would mean that you could then run it as a pop account through GPRS and use the proper email app on the SPV. I imagine hotmail probably has similar things where you can pay a subscription to get a superior product which may well include POP access.
Guest Spanky Posted January 2, 2003 Report Posted January 2, 2003  I've just started a new thread about this, search for 'setup hotmail' on the search page and you'll find it. I would have posted in this thread but, typically, I've only just seen it after posting the new one. Sorry ppl.
