Guest Darren Posted January 3, 2003 Report Posted January 3, 2003 can anyone please tell me how to get the backlight to stay on when using media Player?????
Guest NXNM Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Its easy, wait till the end of the month and get the orange update.
Guest spacemonkey Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Another dodge that works right now, is start a game of slurp and then return to the home screen (home button) rather than exiting the game (back button) Slurp locks the backlight on so if you do this you will have backlight permanently on until you reload slurp and exit the game.
Guest muude Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 That's sweet spacemonkey... but you could have said that a bit earlier...
Guest spacemonkey Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 Hey, don't blame me for not saying it earlier... I didn't figure it out, I read it in a post yonks ago when the backlight switching off issue first came up. Maybe a search on the forums would have helped ya sooner (although the searching mechanism seems a bit suss to me I find it a pain even when I know the specific thread I'm after). Have a good one :D
Guest crimminsky Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 just select "never" in the backlight timeout settings in power management and your backlight will stay on........or am I the only one with this option on my phone
Guest Scoobyroo Posted January 4, 2003 Report Posted January 4, 2003 No, it's just that YOU'RE the only one that hasn't figured out yet that this makes no difference
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 Hehehehe Play nice children :D P
Guest DJHope Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 The backlight stays on yes but not the extra light, still too dark to view a movie IMHO. Is this the same for others?
Guest crimminsky Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003  wanna swap? yeah ok, I'll swap your SPV for my wife, she breaths enough fire to be able to view a full length film :D :( :(
Guest pibrahim Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 I find selecting the backlight 'never off' option has no effect immediately, but when I switch the phone off and on, it starts working!
Guest brunoh Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 The backlight stays on since I applied the first update (Switzerland). A lot of other problems still are waiting to fixed....
