Has anybody unlocked the SPV to use in the US with a US chip

I brought my SPV to the US and I would like to use it with a US provider (ATT Wireless as they have a GSM/GPRS network).I tried getting it to work with my prepaid US T-Mobile chip (GSM) but doesn't recognise the PIN?

You must set it to the PCS setting in the Settings field (misnomer for 1900mhz).. I am using ATT as well..

Is it definitely unlocked?

I suspect the PIN you mention is the 8 digit SIM unlock code?
