Help on advanced windows meda player skin!!

I've downloaded the advanced window media player skin but cannot install it in the Windows directory as the files it replaces are read-only. I have waited for Media player to close (>5 mins) but it still does not replace the files (as it's in the ROM). Any ideas where I am going wrong? Much appreciated.

I managed to get it to work! However, everytime you reboot the phone, it reverts back to the original skin. Is this what happens normally? Anyway of keeping it permanently on?

Yup, No way to stop it happening I'm afraid. Files get re-written on reboot of the phone. :evil:

Could be an idea but MS would probably need the update to be certified by Orange :D :( :( :P

If all us SPV owners told them about these restrictions to customize our phones and how we dis-approve of it, maybe (just maybe), they'll release an update/trick to it.. :D

If we could figure out some sort of script (like a batch script) to copy the files in... or maybe like a cab or .hme (look for the thread about LCARS in tips and tricks) that we could put a shortcut in startup for.

That way everytime the phone boots it'd copy these files into the windows directory...

... just an idea anyway...
