Guest coastersteve Posted November 26, 2002 Report Posted November 26, 2002 [Edited by Site Admin, thanks for the submission coastersteve!] SYMPTOM: If you teach T9 a word, sure enough, it remembers it. Power cycle the phone and it forgets it. RESOLUTION: None Known
Guest stuwhyte Posted November 30, 2002 Report Posted November 30, 2002 Wow! How do you teach T9 a word? I can't work it out! Thanks Stuart
Guest spacemonkey Posted December 1, 2002 Report Posted December 1, 2002 Dunno about the SPV (haven't got mine yet) but on my J70e it automatically adds any word you use in a text. Although it also forgets them on some basis I've never figured out. Maybe the SPV is similar. If it is saving an extended dictionary somewhere is it stored as a "file" in which case can you move it to SD card or anything?
Guest coastersteve Posted December 1, 2002 Report Posted December 1, 2002 Spacemonkey, Yes thats exactly it. I taught it "Tina" and "Wigan" a few days ago and it remembered but today it'd forgot them. Very strange. Steve
Guest benjymous Posted February 27, 2003 Report Posted February 27, 2003 I've just noticed that this seems to have been fixed after the UK update I've turned my phone on and off a few times, yet it still seems to be remembering added words :)

Guest Paul [MVP] Posted March 19, 2006 Report Posted March 19, 2006 The Message Centre will only hold the message for as long as the validity period is set. If the validity period is, for example, 1 hour - then the SMSC will discard the message when the 1 hour has passed (and return a delivery failed report if appropriate). P
