Guest m4ttc Posted January 5, 2003 Report Posted January 5, 2003 SPV Guru's Q1 : I've configured the SPV so I can send and receive e-mail on the move using POP3 and STMP(Thanks to the tips on this forum :D ). However, after I have had a 'sync-session' and try to receive email, it says something like 'You using Hot Sync' to manage you your emails' and i have to go through the already preset e mail settings and click next>next>next etc so it is reconfig to use the servers. Is there a way of avoiding this? Q2 : I pay the £6 for the GPRS service to Orange. If I subscribe to any of their services, like football scores sent to the fone, do I get charged their 25p or so per message or is this included in the 'bundle'? Cheers M4TTC

Is there a way of avoiding this? You can only either synch e- mail with your PC or with POP3 - not both. Go into Active Sync and uncheck the e-mail box to only synch calenders/contacts... etc. and leave POP3 for the phone. Sucks I know... Q2 : I pay the £6 for the GPRS service to Orange. SMS messages do not use GPRS and therefore cost extra. I'd cancel the messages and use the Orange Sports pages for Football Scores as these will use GPRS. Barry
