Guest Nigel Posted January 6, 2003 Report Posted January 6, 2003 Text entry with T9 is surprisingly good (it needs to be with those crummy keys!). However I want to send messages in several languages. T9 does work (surprise, suprise) in French and German as well as English. But to do that you have to change the Regional Settings and then re-boot the handset. Many years ago it was like that with MS-Word. Can we please get up-to-date and provide a little support for Europeans who don't want to write AmerEnglish all the time! It would be enough to define the language for a message - it doesn't have to be by chunk of text as in Word today.
Guest mrjuglas Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 There must be lots of us who would like to be able to send messages in other languages. it's not too much to ask as the dictionaries are already there.
Guest reubenhowes Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 totally agree -my nokia used to handle me switching from english to german no problem using its T9 dictonary. While on the subject of T9 on the SPV why can't it remember words we have added for more than a few days ?
