Guest spacemonkey Posted January 7, 2003 Report Posted January 7, 2003 Last time I checked downloading Mp3 music off the web was illegal unless specifically licensed for web distribution by the artist/record company. Some sites sell tracks but these are normally accompanied by encryption and copy protection that would limit your ability to convert them to other formats or copy them to removable devices. I certainly couldn't condone anyone who used a peer to peer filesharing tool such as some dodgy place, gnutella or winmx to illegally download music. (These products have legitimate uses)
