Guest benny Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Hi, Bought and installed the full version of IA Album last night, and quite a bit has changed! There is now a "camera" entry under Programs which allows me to take pictures directly, without having to go through the new MMS message route. Also, the layout of the application has changed to a much more user-friendly version, which is nice. B
Guest strathclydezero Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Does it improve the speed at which photos are taken? And can you use it to email photos?
Guest Lojt Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=1120 Found this post on page 1 of this forum, a few posts down... Read before you post :D
Guest cseilern Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 How big are the speed differences? I have read in other posts that the camera's snail like speed is due to the fact that it uses a serial connection. What I am really trying to find out is if the view finder is as slow as before or is that improved dramatically? i.e. a small but noticeable increase in speed is imho useless
Guest ajb3000 Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 the viewfinder is still displaying frame by frame, but it is better, also the picture is always captured when you press the capture button (MMS software sometimes didn't actually take the pic), and the delay between button press and picture capture is only about a second, compared to sometimes 5-6 seconds with the mms.
Guest spacemonkey Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 In fact very good, when you take a full res 640x480 picture it may still take a few seconds to come through but with the MMS app it would also actually capture an image a few seconds after the shutter noise. In IA Album it captures the image right when you hear the shutter noise and then takes a few seconds to save that image. Which is fine with me... It also immediatly saves the picture rather than needing to make more key presses. I am very happy with IA Album and although it would have been nice for Orange to give us an equivalent app, I was happy to buy this.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 It also immediatly saves the picture rather than needing to make more key presses. I am very happy with IA Album and although it would have been nice for Orange to give us an equivalent app, I was happy to buy this. Even though the people at IA thought Orange were going to give it to us free as well  Yet another app i'm going to have to buy just to make the phones features work half decent. It's nice to be a beta tester
Guest nick911 Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 Hi, Does the IA software allow you to directly save the recording/image to the sd card, so you are only limited for recording video/pics by the amount of ram card you have. Is there any pause/rewind etc when viewing the avi files. cheers nick
Guest Thistle Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 How do u install it? I have it but its 6 different files and i dont know where im suposed to put them. It's as if the autorun is missing ?!?!

Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 if its like other software simply run the .cab file on ur smartphone using all-explorer. having said that, what happens when the A-E trial runs out, does software from handango and co come with windows based installers that copy the .cab to ur spv and execute it?
Guest Emad Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 All the software that I've bought from handango comes in the form of a windows installer. Nice and simple to use..
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 good good, same as the demo's then
Guest humz Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 Does anyone know of anywhere where you can download a trial vervion of IA Album 1.6? I'd really like to try it out before i buy it.
Guest spacemonkey Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 having said that, what happens when the A-E trial runs out, does software from handango and co come with windows based installers that copy the .cab to ur spv and execute it? The other thing you can do for direct install (like when you are at the office with no cradle/activesync), is put the cab on some personal web space somewhere and browse to it with IE on your phone, when you click it it should download and install.... nice. Doesn't work for non cabs like Invasion and Waterman cos IE won't donwload an "exe" (what's that????? :D )
Guest zenabi Posted January 10, 2003 Report Posted January 10, 2003 having said that, what happens when the A-E trial runs out, does software from handango and co come with windows based installers that copy the .cab to ur spv and execute it? Just copy the cab file to the Start Menu folder on the SPV using ActiveSync. You can then install it by clicking the icon from the Programs menu. Step-by-step instructions of how to do this are in the manual.
Guest jojo_camacho2001 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 can i download ia album? where?
Guest Pondrew Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 jojo_camacho2001, please don't cross-post. Disco Stu already replied to your original thread pointing out IA Album has been only available preinstalled on HTC Smartphone roms for a couple of years now... Its against the rules to ask for copyrighted software so please don't!
