Guest Sculli Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 Morning, I was away in France for New Year, but didn't arange roaming on my phone, so I didn't use it. When I checked last night I had 6 text messages that I had received during the time I was in France. They had found their way directly to my SIM card and I accessed them by "downloading messages from SIM" in the Message, Options pulldown. Firstly... I'm not really sure how they got there - shouldn't I have received them as normal text messages on my return? Were they actually put into my SIM while I was away even though I was "denied a service" because of my lack of roaming? Strange. :? Secondly... How do I get rid of them from my SIM? They get downloaded to the phone each time I go through the actions above. The only facility for managing the SIM is to do with contacts' phone numbers. Mmm... Thanks in advance.... Sculli
Guest Spanky Posted January 8, 2003 Report Posted January 8, 2003 I've got a similar problem... Santa brought me my SPV for Xmas but I upgraded mid-December so I already had my new SIM card before the new phone. I put the SIM in one of the old brick phones that I had lying around just so that I could have a phone until Xmas. I sent and received SMSs from this phone as normal, but then when I ditched the brick and put the SIM in my shiny new SPV ( :D ) I had left one SMS on it. Now I can't delete it! Tried the old 'SIM Manager' but it proved useless. What I might do is find someone at work tomorrow with a 'normal' phone and whack my SIM in it just so that I can get rid of it.
Guest Lojt Posted January 9, 2003 Report Posted January 9, 2003 I have the same problem, and i also recieved some sms's that went straight to the sim card, even though i was at home and not roaming... Thats pretty annyoing
