Guest Raify Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 · Hidden Hidden O.k. I've searched through all the posts on playlists and I still can't figure it out! It looks like i'm the only one here who's not a programmer  I'll put my flame suit on and ask some stupid questions: What the hell do you do with that code that's been posted? What's an asx file and where do you put them on the phone? Isn't there an easier way? I saw the post about the possibility of a program for a fiver, put me down for one!! Thanks in advance for any advice, Nathan
Guest spacemonkey Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 · Hidden Hidden Someones made a playlist maker and it's free... check this http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=1591 Haven't tried it myself yet... And unfortunately there's not an easier way because microsoft didn't make media player playlist compatable. Essentially what we are doing with ASX's is pretending that the local files are more like an internet streaming media site, so they are a dodge not a normal playlist really... it's just that microsoft made it streaming media complaint but not playlist....

Guest HelloDave Posted January 8, 2003 Posted January 8, 2003 · Hidden Hidden What the hell do you do with that code that's been posted? If you mean my script at http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=1527 you just copy the code into notepad and save it in file called "script.js". Then double click on script.js to run it. Change the options as per my instructions in the post. It only scans one folder at a time though, so all your wmas need to be in one place.
