Guest hardysmith Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 I liked the "Orange Layout 1" as my home page, but there were three things that I wanted to change: 1. Add the date 2. Remove the News, Gallery, Sport and Downloads as I never used them and finally 3. I wanted the icon bar at the top to be dynamic and to reflect the most recently used applications in the phone. Anyway, if you are interested, you can download my XML here. (Right click and choose "save target as" to download to your computer) http://www.musicxp.net/clear1.home.xml or http://www.musicxp.net/clear2.home.xml I believe that these are a big improvement over any of the supplied home screens. Just copy the downloaded files to your IPSM/Application Data/Home directory and then go settings/homescreen and change to Clear Layout 1 or Clear Layout 2. You can also download the XML here http://www.bornsloppy.co.uk/xml/clear1.home.xml http://www.bornsloppy.co.uk/xml/clear2.home.xml
Guest tommycollins Posted January 11, 2003 Report Posted January 11, 2003 This is the home screen I was looking for. Thanks for sharing hardy! I love how the icons are always your most often used ones. TC

Guest Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 I have a problem i go to the site. i then right click and "save target as" does not come up. what can i do help please i want a better homescreen thanks in advance I had this problem. Are you running Internet Explorer 6 or something older? Apparently the bit rate in IE6 is safer from hackers etc... and also should fix your problem. It can be downloaded from the microsoft website, ;) It worked for me, good luck!
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 18, 2003 Report Posted January 18, 2003 IE 4 or 5.0?) had a patch to whack the encryption rate up from 56bit to a full blown 128bit. It might just be a slow connection, or your PC is being a pain
