Media Player (on PC) reports 0 bytes free on storage card..?

Hi,

Anyone else have the same problem and/or know how to fix it?

Go to Windows Media Player on PC (i use v9)

Go to 'Copy to CD or Device'

Select a music track to copy (mp3 or wma)

Select 'Storage Card' as the device

Windows (XP Pro) reports 0 bytes free, and the file will not copy if you try. The card is not locked.

I can quite happily copy file(s) from explorer to the storage card.

FYI - the reason i am trying to use MP to copy the files is i have some .wma with DRM's that won't play on the SPV without MP copying the necessary license files over.......

any suggestions appreciated..

Hi,

I too had the same problem with WMP ver7. I knew the smart had was empty but WMP reported that it was full. Have been helped by the forum, suggest you see posting on the wed 8th of Jan under Orange tips & tricks windows media files & licences.

Hope it helps

ahh yes thanks for pointing out those articles... unfortunately they don't help me as i have protected music files which i need the Windows Media Player to transfer onto the phone with the corect license.

You can't convert protected files to be unprotected (unless someone know otherwsie).

oh well, i guess they want don't want us to use there fancy anti-pirate music system and go back to using mp3's again...:D

cheers for all your help.
