Guest youngerpants Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 Another tip from the newbie youngerpants... I was very tempted to buy the london tube map software, but decided i wasnt going to pay for a peice of software I'd use very occasionaly. But then i thought... Downloaded a decent quality pic of the London tube map and saved it to my SD card, changed my IE options so "fit to screen", and I now have an easily readable tube map on my SPV and havnt had to pay for the software that does essentialy the same thing. I think of it as SPV freeware
Guest crimminsky Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 and I downloaded a picture of centre court at wimbledon, now it looks like I have Tennis addict and I didn't have to pay....... :D
Guest zenabi Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 But you don't get the wee trip planner with the wee animations... weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee :D
Guest Emad Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 Neh, Metro on my wee Palm Vx - free and includes landmarks and suchlike, good stuff..
Guest ajb3000 Posted January 12, 2003 Report Posted January 12, 2003 The trip planner is not worth £10.77 by a long shot!! I've never had a decent use for it, except for playing, its far easier to just look at the map for me and choose my own route.
Guest youngerpants Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 Exactly my point ajb3000 So you miss out on nice little animations, big deal, £10 is a little harsh for a tube map
Guest fitz Posted January 18, 2004 Report Posted January 18, 2004 Yeap got to agree, I would go for the cheaper option too :!:
Guest blewer Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 I like the idea of Tennis Addict better
Guest mcwarre Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 I scanned in a picture of Wembley and it now looks like Total Soccer; I did it with Elland Road, Leeds and it looks like Total F*ckup! :D :(
Guest looeee Posted January 19, 2004 Report Posted January 19, 2004 @Emad the same Metro program as your Palm, free for Smartphone http://www.handango.com/PlatformProductDet...productId=96589
