Guest solo Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 I noticed that just before my SPV goes to "sleep", the backlight dims for a few seconds before the screen goes blank. :?: From this observation I deduce that the backlight can be set to different intensities. :idea: Therefore it shouldn't be difficult to create a menu option that allows the user to set a default backlight intensity, i.e. torch intensity for night time, no backlight for daylight, dim backlight for all other times. If the functionality is explored properly, how about linking the backlight intensity to the Profiles :D I might be wrong but surely lower backlight intensity = better battery life ... :( :( :P
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 It always dims to ~ half the normal intensity when left idle, then depending on how you have it set up then turns off after the same length of time again or turns on the screensaver. Not sure how accessible this is though in a menu. I seem to remember it being brought up as a registry setting? Not sure, either way you have to live with on or off for now, as the registry isnt directly editable in smartphone 2k2
