Guest TSCRYPTO Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 I have just popped a 2MB mpg onto a card, but the media player cant seem to find it. I wonder if I have screwed something. Any idea?
Guest PsychoDave Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 Hi there. Have you checked that the mpeg went into your my sounds folder on the sd card and then chose local content from the media player menu. Hope that helps. If not theres bound to be someone here that knows whats up.
Guest TSCRYPTO Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 I created a 'my sounds' folder on the card and popped the mpg in it, but the media player still isnt picking it up...I am not certain why. :?: :?: :?:
Guest Emad Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 Try sticking an mp3 there and seeing if it picks that up when you select local content from the menu. Failing that, exit using the back key and re-enter.
Guest TSCRYPTO Posted January 13, 2003 Report Posted January 13, 2003 I put an .wmv file in the folder and the media player picked it up straight away. Perhaps it just doesnt like mpg's???
Guest Bazz Posted January 14, 2003 Report Posted January 14, 2003 Perhaps it just doesnt like mpg's??? It doesn't - God only knows why. You have to use wmv.
Guest Emad Posted January 14, 2003 Report Posted January 14, 2003 I think you can view mpg files - you may need to rename it .mpeg or something odd like that.. The best thing to do is to read the conversion threads and set up windows media encoder for encoding to the spv screen/bitrate. WMVs play much, much better.
