A weird problem

I have the phone lock engaged and I have my phone in a jacket pocket when driving (the seat belt does press against the phone). When I get the phone out it does not respond, switch on, switch off, nothing. The little green light is still flashing, and if I ring the phone it doesn't ring.

The only thing to get it working is to pull the battery off. Which strangely causes my home page picture to disappear and require re-selection.

It it something to do with too many key presses while locked ???!!!

If you do a forum search, you will find this problem has been addressed before. No solution has been found yet though afaik, one for the update hopefully (although i've never had this problem myself :D)
