Guest emsoftsys Posted January 14, 2003 Report Posted January 14, 2003 I have experienced this a couple of times now in the space of two weeks; when the phone loses the connection due to moving into an area with a poor signal it doesn't pick the connection back up. The only way to regain the connection is to turn the phone off and on. Does anybody else have this problem, is there a fix or will it be part of the upgrade from Orange (when it finally arrives) :?:
Guest kernowmagic Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 try making a call? maybe the gprs might come back
Guest PsychoDave Posted February 21, 2003 Report Posted February 21, 2003 Try turning the radio off and then on again. Might be slightly quicker than restarting??
Guest Simon Desser Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 My first SPV did this a few times after about 3 weeks, I bought it from CPW and insisted they replaced it. My second one was fine for about 2 months, then all of a sudden it started doing this everyday (along with other strange things) I ended up doing a hard reset 5 days ago, and (touch wood) it's been fine since?! The really scary one I got twice last week (before the hard reset), was, phone showing healthy signal, green light flashing away happily, but couldn't make or receive calls!!! until I re-booted the phone. Another weird one was a constant jumping between 4 bars and 0 bars about every 20 seconds until I re-booted!!??
Guest almark Posted February 22, 2003 Report Posted February 22, 2003 Simon, my phone did the same - showing healthy signal, green light flashing away happily, but couldn't make or receive calls!!! Then it started to crash all the time and had to be replaced.
