I have had my SPV for 4 days now and can still not get on the internet- as u can imagine this is pretty annoying! ive tried lots of different settings that have been posted up on here and all i get is various messges saying my proxy settings are wrong, cannot find page, check if theres netword signal (when there is) etc. Ive been onto orange for 3 hours on the phone now and they are useless.

Could someone please help! would be much appreciated!

Thanks

post some of your settings up here for all to browse and see if we can spot the problem.

For example;

In settings data connections internet should be set to Orange GPRS

In internet Explorer/menu/options/connections automatically detect settings should be ticked and the Selected network should be The Internet.

What are your settings in IE/menu/options/General ?

Cheers, Shire

Mine plays up like this a bit as well. Try deleting the Orange WAP connection in your GPRS connections. Not sure if this stops wap working but deleting made my GPRS start behaving properly.

Hi

Ask for Mr. Schulze when you call Orange and let him know, that you have the same problem like I had. (Andreas Schmid / 078 603 90 01). He's able to help you for sure.

Hi there...

problems conneting to GPRS????

try this....

I have had numorus problems with connecting to the net via GPRS..

i have set all the settings time and time again and had new handsets.

BUT....

i did find after long tests....and cross checking with a friend's SPV

I found that in

SETTINGS>

DATA CONNECTIONS>

when coming down to the second setiing....

it would not let me change it from "None Available"

like it was defaulted--(like the is ) below it.

now i don't know what it is that changes this-something to do with docking and activesync I reckon,I do not change and connections just sync my inbox with my P.C + I do not use the phone as a modem?? as i have ADSL..

I have found the only way to change the setting is to do a HARD RESET (can be found on other parts of the forum)

then the setting can be adjusted to 'automatic' or pass through connector'

and low and behold you can connect to the internet..

WITHOUT any DNS connections i might add.. mine (for this handest anyway!!) have been on 0.0.0.0

hope this helps....

kmon...

P.S anyone know why this might happen please post....
