Gig SD Cards

When are the gig SD cards gonna come out and who knows how much they are gonna be.

I need a new SD Card but I just don't think 512 Mb is enough.

Also are there good SD Card Manufacturers and bad ones because the price varies a lot. The most expensive seem to be the Sandisk Ultra II's are they really that much faster to be worth the extra cost?

why would you want a gig SD card ive only got 3gb hardrive on this computer right now seems barmy to me

but ebuyer has sd Card and 1 gig one and they ARE expensive

Ive never tried them but their site is meant for PDAs so I expect they will work with a XDA1/2 :)

don't expect things that you can not verify... 8) so it's a good question, but i don't need that many space for sure. at the moment i'm stuck with the 128mb internal ram which provides me enough space right now. if i need more i put in my 256mb sd card and heck... a ppc with 384mb is more then many notebooks are running on (thinking of my old ipaq 3630 with "only" 32mb it makes me wonder how i could live with that, ok cf-sleeve and 64mb cf card, but not 384mb).

aria.co.uk do 1gb sd cards for £58.27 inc vat.

had mine for a while, nice to keep all my mp3's and some divx movies with me when im out and about.
