Guest ballyhooo Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 Has anyone been having problems with the XDAII's Bluetooth functionality? Can get it to pair with a Sony-Ericsson EH 35 headset, but not with the built-in handsfree phone in my BMW. Have downloaded the new ROM from the O2 website but that hasn't made any difference.
Guest MARKUKCOUK Posted April 15, 2004 Report Posted April 15, 2004 im thinking your car kit is "Headset" rather than "handsfree" compatible. The XDA 2 doesnt support "Headset" bluetooth mode. you need to download Bluetooth tools for your phone http://bluetooth.i-networx.de/index_e.html its free, and supports headset mode, which should allow you to pair to your car's kit
Guest ballyhooo Posted April 23, 2004 Report Posted April 23, 2004 Tried, but no luck. Thanks for the suggestion though. Still won't pair successfully.

I read on another forum, I think it was tekguru, about someone having a similar problem with his BMW and Bluetooth. He had taken it a lot further and had been in touch with both O2 and BMW after trying most avenues. Both blamed the other apparently and the best he could get was that O2 were now aware of the problem and were consulting with BMW.
