Guest neilfenstein Posted July 8, 2004 Report Posted July 8, 2004 I love being able to write what I want to say in text. However, although the text recognition is fantastic on the XDA 2, I would like to have a application/program that uses the dialing screen or a similar looking GUI so you could use T9 and the buttons to text. I find that it is nigh on impossible to text/write while walking along! If there is anyone out there who knows of a program or a programmer that I could assit in making this sort of app. I would be very greatful. I also think that many other PPCPE owners would benefit from this sort of app as it would make the switch from a normal mobile/smartphone easier to stomach. It would also go that bit further to making a true convergence device!
Guest Twain Posted July 10, 2004 Report Posted July 10, 2004 This is the closest thing ive found! sort of t9 qwerty mix thing but still no true t9 text input.
Guest Jiff Lemon Posted July 12, 2004 Report Posted July 12, 2004 One word - Thumbpad! Expecting mine anyday soon!
Guest Twain Posted July 13, 2004 Report Posted July 13, 2004 Oops just realised i linked to the french version i think, there is an english one on there! just a warning :)
Guest sonborj Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 The Tengo thing still needs the Stylus. Much Better if stylus free. Is the Thumbpad available in Asia?
Guest ppcsurfr Posted July 21, 2004 Report Posted July 21, 2004 If you need something close to multi-tap and T9... Try out Quickey Mabuhay! ~ Carlo

You basically only have input options using the stylus eg keyboard, transcriber etc... This is fine if you are still but if you are walking you have no chance :)
Guest wingnutLP Posted December 22, 2006 Report Posted December 22, 2006 well, I have found a version of intellipad that seems to work on my HTC P3600 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...hlight=phonepad
