Guest Dade Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 I found a way to get a standard 2.5 to 3.5mm headset adapter to work on the M2000 so you can use decent headphones for your MP3's. If you plug in the adapter to the M2000 and pull it out slightly (About 2mm) then you start getting sound from both channels. The problem is that the plug keeps going back in and the sound returns to mono. The solution is simple. Get a BIC biro and take the small ink tube out of it. Cut a piece of the clear tube about 2mm long and slide this over the 2.5mm plug. This stops the pug going in too far. (See my photo) Im sure that this wont cause a problem with the handset but as per usual do this at your own risk.
Guest Dade Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 Sometimes low-tech is the way to go! I think the problem with the headset socket on the M2000 is that the common and the mic connectors have been reversed.
Guest foxy11 Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 quality solution, and at a price you can afford! :)
Guest dazza12 Posted November 24, 2004 Report Posted November 24, 2004 quality solution, and at a price you can afford! :) I'm not so sure. Those Bic pens are quite expensive. Must be at least a couple of quid for a box of 50.
Guest Chaser81 Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 There is a solution, though of course I dont condone it... Steal a biro from work!! O:)
Guest alanrenouf Posted January 17, 2005 Report Posted January 17, 2005 Any further news on when Orange will have the M2000 back in stock, they said they would text me when they get some in but some inside info would be good if somebody has it !??!?
