Guest blewer Posted December 4, 2004 Report Posted December 4, 2004 Guys, anyone got any info on MPX yet? I really would like to upgrade my phone soon and was hoping this would be out.
Guest lighthouse82 Posted December 11, 2004 Report Posted December 11, 2004 here's an article on infosyncworld: http://www.infosyncworld.com/news/n/5617.html at first i couldn't wait for the MPx but now it seems the HTC Magician (imate jam/qtek s100/t-mob mda compact etc) is the small PPC PE device to go for.
Guest rmg Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 Thanks :D <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I had lost interest in the mpx after negative comments about the memory on Howard Forums. Then I watched this video http://www.ayala-tanya.com/mpx300/MPX300-Video.wmv And my need for an MPX has returned with a vengance! There is a reliable seller on ebay selling production versions for $900 LMK if you want the link. -- rmg.
Guest Chaser81 Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005 (edited) Dont buy a production version, not worth it. Wait for it to be released properly. EDIT: Just watched that video. Nice, cant deny it, but the case sounds "creaky" when he is folding it, and the buttons sound overly "clicky". I can see what Infosync World meant now in their review when they said it was overly plasticky! I think I will stick with my Jam, it feels more solid. Edited January 19, 2005 by Chaser81

Wait for it to be released properly. err thats what a production version is ;-) This bloke is not selling engineering models, he is selling the released device with the revised mobo that will take ROM updates. -- rmg.
Guest Chaser81 Posted January 19, 2005 Report Posted January 19, 2005  Oops!! My bad! Its been a long day and I'm tired, I thought you said PRE-production!! Should really pay attention!
Guest Pondrew Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 Go for it! BUT... I have heard that the 32meg memory they are offering virtually cripples it as a Pocket PC...
Guest rmg Posted January 20, 2005 Report Posted January 20, 2005 Go for it! BUT... I have heard that the 32meg memory they are offering virtually cripples it as a Pocket PC... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thats what everyone thought but it appears that moto have done some tweaking and the device actually works quite well. People are starting to get production versions on HowardForums and the comments are positive... -- rmg.
