BUG: In-call voice is too quiet

During severall calls, the other caller has complained that I am too quiet.

This seems to be a problem with the M2000. I have checked the XDA Developers Forum and there are similar reports with the other variants of this phone.

The AGC control under settings does not help as it only affects recording applications, not telephony.

The only remedy appears to require use of a bluetooth headset.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Yes, I've had a few people say the same thing. On the up side, the mic seems to be excellent at cutting out background noise..

Seems like the mic is very sensitive to how far away you are holding it from your head - if you hold the handset right against your face, the output volume ( to the listener) is much better.

... but it isn't the most comfortable phone to hold up like that. Think that the bluetooth headset option is looking like an essential one.

I haven't had any problems will voice volume during normal calls. However, if I use the speakerphone, then people can't hear me very well. I still need to hold the device as close as I would otherwise. Kind of makes the speakerphone option less useful for calls. Certainly not a handsfree option, as you still need to hold the phone near your mouth to be heard!

Try holding it in your other hand :)

Seriously, I heard a lot of people inadvertantly block the mic when they hold it and changing hands usually solves this!

Thanks - will give it a try, but I'd rather not hold the device at all when I'm driving!If I place it on my lap or the seat next to me, then I can't be heard. Won't be a problem when I sort out a car kit. Just waiting to see what's compatable with what before parting with the cash!

For me the in call volume is too low (despite I put it max) so I gotta really focus .. but no compliants on their ends sbout me.
