Guest ventmore Posted December 8, 2004 Report Posted December 8, 2004 OK, I've just received my M2000, and it's now on it's first long charge, but I noticed it has a few different memory areas. The 128 meg is set to be split down the middle...half for progs and the other for storage, but the xbackup program reports a different memory also referred to as storage. Is this the permanent flash memory? If it is, there only appears to be 43 meg left...is the rest taken up with orange stuff, as I noticed it took a good minute or so to start up first time, and it was frantically copying stuff from somewhere. Do xbackup and Permanent Save use the same area of memory? Also, will a full backup with xbackup also try to backup the SD card to permanent storage? Also, I used to have a pocket pc, and found it would grind to a halt if the contacts etc were stored in the main memory, and the only way to speed things up was o store them in the expansion card. Is this the case with the M2000, or can I just store to normal memory. Sorry about all the questions, and the excessive use of the word also  Cheers Ventmore
