Guest egghead101 Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 AAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH I have the screen/button lock on and yet i put the phone in my pocket and when i take it out half an hour later the screen is telling me I have changed my timezone and the year is 2012........ :x It seems that whenever there is an alert or signal change on the phone the screen turns on and the button lock stops. Has anyone seen a bit of software that can stop this...... p.s. I still can't check multiple email accounts at once wither manually or scheduled!!!!!!
Guest ventmore Posted December 21, 2004 Report Posted December 21, 2004 p.s. I still can't check multiple email accounts at once wither manually or scheduled!!!!!! The fault doesn't lie with you, that's just the way it is. Only way around it is to get a third-party email app. Cheers Ventmore
Guest imt21 Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 Have had the same problems with the device turning itself back on when in a pocket (or even just sat on the desk). Have been trying to work out if any of the s/w I've installed is causing this as it appeared to stop happening after uninstalling Sygic .mobile Contacts. It's back again now though after recently installing AvantGo and ThunderHawk.
Guest dazza12 Posted December 22, 2004 Report Posted December 22, 2004 Do you have Bluetooth switched on? There is a bug in the Bluetooth stack that keeps waking the phone up. Found this when I put my phone in my car cradle, it kept distracting me even though I kept switching it off. In later ROM versions for the PDA2k, this has been fixed. There is a way to install these updates on the M2000. No news of when this comes to an Orange ROM though.
Guest knightsfield Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 Get hold of a copy of MortSaver. Download mortsaver-2.0b2.zip from this thread http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthr...20&pagenumber=2 and then upgrade to mortsaver_2.0b6.zip from here http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/showthr...20&pagenumber=3
Guest egghead101 Posted December 23, 2004 Report Posted December 23, 2004 Thanks i will give mortsaver a go.... With regards the Dazza questions the power on seems to be linked to signal and system notifications i.e. email, text, voice etc....
Guest sazoo Posted January 15, 2005 Report Posted January 15, 2005 Thanks i will give mortsaver a go.... With regards the Dazza questions the power on seems to be linked to signal and system notifications i.e. email, text, voice etc.... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have found that by setting the sound and notification options to not require the screen (ie not use "show me a message", and I'm also not playing a sound) it doesnt do this. I've already installed the bluetooth patch to build 3500, this fixes the bluetooth stack issue too. That had a bug that if bluetooth was on it would randomly turn the device back on.
