Guest martin Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 Are you sure the volume is turned up on your phone :( Sound stupid but it's happened many times before :) Also as uzi_999 said, did you check that the audio is on under Menu -> Options -> Video in the camera application ?
Guest davo141 Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 yes and yes :) its annoying as hell. even when i play back the video on the pc,. it wont play the sound. its getting to me, cos i want sound on it. its just not working at all. i have the latest update on the phone
Guest martin Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 Hate to say it but I would probably just http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?p=97945#97945>Hard Reset the phone and see if it solves the problem.
Guest CB-Dave Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 (edited) the sound recording is crap because of the location of the mic - hard resetting won't do diddly squat imo... that's also why using the speakerphone is a bit hit and miss, it always sounds quiet to the other person - the mic pickup is on the bottom side of the phone, just up and to the left of the headphone socket. (before anyone says, no it's not under the 0 key, that's the light sensor) Edited January 1, 2005 by CB-Dave

You should at least be able to hear you own voice in the recordings and if not, a http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?p=97945#97945>Hard Reset should help eliminate the settings (i.e registry) as the cause :)
Guest CB-Dave Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 it's also akin to pulling down your house every time you blow a lightbulb isn't it! people are way way too quick to recommend an HR as the solution to all the phone's ills!! to confirm if it's the mic at fault - try videoing whilst talking straight into it - if you get voice there, then it's cos of the crappy location of the mic - if you don't - try recording a voice note - if you get voice there then it's a program fault, if not then it's more than likely either a config problem or a hardware fault...
Guest Randal Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 (edited) Hi, Didn't you accidently shut the sound off in your multimedia-album. You can switch sound on and off bij pressing the 8-button (while playing the video). It took me some time to figure this out for myself... Edited January 6, 2005 by Randal
