Is the E 200 not discussed here? i Need HELP!

I've owned the e100 original spv for over a year and loved it,

and just bought the E200 Via ebay, and I need help here, the phone i got didn't come w\ any software or manuel.. I been reading about rom updates for it,, can some on give me some info here on how to reset this phone to factory, and get latest working rom... Or a link to software?

ALSO I cannot connect this phone to my computer? i plug it in via usb like my old one and it doesn't recognise it? and active sync won't connect, computer says it won't work prorperly either..

i'm using latest version from microsoft any suggestions? i'd greatly appreciate it!!! for i have a folder already of my E 100 on computer and would just like to put the programs swap everything to new phone..

To Hard Reset the phone, it is exactly the same way as your old E100

As for ROM updates there is one on the Orange site but I do not have

a direct link at the moment, sorry :oops:

The hard reset may sort your Activsync problem as well.

Thanks for the quick reply.. Well i did the http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?p=97945#97945>Hard Reset so it's now at least at factory STATE.. i plugged it back into computer, computer recongnises new hardware but active sync says not connected, and phone doesn't light up or nothing? Any more suggestions in regards to active sync.. would greatly appreciate it, for i know i need it cause i used it all the time w\ old SPV

Also..is the E200 alot slower in reboot? cause this is WAYYYY slower then my E100?

You could try uninstalling ActiveSync and deleting the old partnership as you do it - it will prompt you to do this.

Then install the latest version (3.7.1) which you can get directly from the MSDN Library and establish a new partnership.

The E200 is slow to boot but, never having owned an E100, I can't compare the two.

You could also try temporarily disabling any active firewalls. They can sometimes block the phones access to the PC.

Also make sure you use the cradle, I have been seeing problems with my retractable sync and charge cable.

The connectors on your phone and previous models are known to be easily damaged.
