Guest ebony_rascal Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 Ok im gonna upgrade to the M2000 but mainly want to use it as a PDA and continue using me E200 as my day to day phone. Now i`d like to use a pay as u go sim in it after I upgrade will that be possible ?? I intend using WIFI for accessing the internet instead of GPRS so hopefully my pay as u go credit should last a while as I wont be making many calls a will really just be checking emails etc.
Guest squall Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 there is nothing to stop you using a p&g sim card as such. You need to make sure the network of the sim card is the same as that which you bought hte phone from, unless you get it sim unlocked. I dont know if its possible to network unlock the m2000 yet
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 If you aren't using it as a phone then it is possible to use it without any sim at all...
Guest ebony_rascal Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 hmmmmmmmmmm thats good to know I`d probably want a sim for email would traffic alerts to tomtom etc... I`m tempted to get a 3G phone for calls and bluetooth modem to pair with the SPV 2000 for high speed internet etc.. The Sanyo looks quite nice, aint too big plus 1.2 meg camera and is free :-)
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 Yeah, only problem with the Sanyo is you cant BT files to other devices!
