I can't get the profile turned to normal, stil, etc. It's impossible to turn it back, or adjust the headset profile. turning the phone on and of won't help. Can someone help me??? Thanks
Guest Type R Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 Hi, are you only using the original supplied headset? This was a problem with the E100 & 200's too. The jack plug socket microswitch seemed to be the problem rather than a software problem. In the end my E100 improved to the point that it was rare for it to stick in headset mode., but i tried to use it as little as possible. So far I've not had a problem with my 4 month old C500. And I do use the headset a lot!! I do have the dust problem tho .... Good luck.
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 The usual solution is to blow sharply into the headphone socket to see if you can reset the aforementioned microswitch. Failing that, you could try a little careful twiddling with a matchstick.
Guest Reboot Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Got it going again!!! I called Orange and told them the problem. Un like other people with the same problem, my headset socket was still in tact (the pin insite wasn't stuck), beacause the profile switched between handsfree and haedset. I did the http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?p=97945#97945>Hard Reset (phone off, press the to softkeys in and at the same time press shortly om the power button, then follow screen instructions). And the problem was solved. What i didn't do was make a backup  Thanks for the tips!!!
Guest Disco Stu Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 You should consider buying Sprite for back-up purposes :)
