Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 Has anyone had a go at removing the 'iMate' and 'Jam' logos yet? I read elsewhere it could be achieved by rubbing gently with a sugar cube, but haven't been brave enough to try yet :) Anyone else? P
Guest sparkisgti Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 well if its like the c500 case then it'll be fine.. i was sceptical about the method but it works perfectly :)

Guest Paul [MVP] Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 I just think it'll look 'cleaner' without it! P

I was apprehensive, but sure enough, I now have a Jam with perfectly removed logos (it looks GREAT!), and a sugar cube with blue corners. Guest wezbar Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 Where are you getting the silicon case from Paul?
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 I'm getting the 'Ice' version from here: http://shop.brando.com.hk/o2xdaIIminisiliconecase.php P
Guest Chaser81 Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 I too have removed the logo with a sugar cube!! I only took off the "Imate" bit, and left the word Jam. I like it like that, and the sugar did no damage to the paint of the phone! Took a while rubbing though!
Guest boyo69 Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 my word it works ! :) now what do I do with 498 spare sugar cubes?.....
Guest boyo69 Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 for the best results, use one for each logo............. :)
Guest MadduckUK Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 whew, a while since iv posted here. last thing i remember people were screwing up there c500's trying to get the orange logos off. i dont know what situation would allow someone to try a sugar cube. but its genius :D
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Was in a Sainsbury's Cafe today giving little one her lunch, and lo and behold, a stock of free sugar cubes :D P
Guest Pondrew Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 So will this remove the logo from a black c500 without adversely affecting the paint/metal? Cos I got a new C500 just charging...
Guest Brody Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 I have heard success stories with the c500 yes, I need a sugar cube to check!
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 Only one way to find out... MoDaCo (and me personally) takes no responsibility for any damage caused ;-) P
Guest beersoft Posted January 10, 2005 Report Posted January 10, 2005 /me makes a note to bring sugarcubes (not the icelandic pop band) to the next meet later Owen
Guest userone Posted January 27, 2005 Report Posted January 27, 2005 So will this remove the logo from a black c500 without adversely affecting the paint/metal? Cos I got a new C500 just charging... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Works like a charm :D Just rub it a while (don't press too hard) and you will only see unscatched blackness...
Guest willieturnip Posted January 31, 2005 Report Posted January 31, 2005 i dont see why you would want to remove the logos....i think phones in general look better with them...and besides, you should be proud to be an orange customer..lol
