Guest Tom0815 Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 I think that GPRS needs lots of power, at least with my last phone (Nokia7650) i experienced that. I allready read sth about doubleklicking the hang up button to disable GPRS but in which menue do i have to do this? I'm using Wm2002.
Guest squall Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 you dont do this is a menu, rather do it from the homescreen.
Guest Tom0815 Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 i really need to disable GPRS. Can nobody help me?
Guest olly_k Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 I would also like to know this - I remember my T68 had this option which extended the battery life quite noticably! Maybe another thing Orange has failed to address???
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 On the MPX200 you will need to contact your service provide to deactivate GPRS from your account. Unless you are actually using GPRS identified by the "G" on the battery level and not the main G on the center top of the screen or on the LCD display. You are not using any more battery power.
Guest Tom0815 Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 You mean that the G on the center top of the main screen just shows that gprs is availlable but not active?!?
Guest damystica Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 doesnt help. the g stays. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just upgrade it to WM2003, you'll love it!
Guest Tom0815 Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 No i wont because i will loose my warranty and i just bought the phone a week ago. Futhermore I'm quite content with wm2002. No crashes so far.
