Guest ibebbs Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 Hi, Ever got frustrated by WMP9's lack of playlist functionality? Ever got tired of having to set up ASX playlists on your PC and transferring them to your phone prior to listening? Well, I did and I therefore wrote PlaySmart, a playlist manager for .netcf smartphones. PlaySmart allows the user to manage a set of playlists for media stored on the phone. Playlists can be created, added, modified, removed and, of course, played from within the app. Playlists within the app are read and written to ASX files in phone or storage card memory which can then be played either directly within PlaySmart or from WMP by selecting the ASX file. Now for the down side. * First of all, I haven't had time to test the app much. I run this on my E200 and this is the first version that I have managed to run through all of the features without an error. * Secondly, there is no documentation yet and some of the "features" of the app can be a little confusing. * Lastly, it's pretty fat! It requires 1.2Mb of storage in phone memory. This is mostly due to my laziness and the next version will be much trimmer (if I get round to doing a next version). This is very much a test version and I would appreciate feedback on bugs found and what people found good/bad about the app. The response I receive will determine whether I bother enhancing and releasing the app in future.
