Guest shaggyguitarist Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 I tried doing a http://www.modaco.com/search.php>Search for this but had no success, even when i just put in "sd card" as the http://www.modaco.com/search.php>Search. It seems that my mpx is not recognising my sd card. If i remove it to put some files on, through my card reader, then put it back in, i dont get the usual blue screen message about installing stuff, which i usually cancel anyway. All programs stored on the card wont run unless i reset the phone.. Is this a common fault, and how can i cure it??
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 Is the card made by Kingmax? if so I have found that these cards do not work well on the MPX200.
Guest shaggyguitarist Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 no. the card is 256mb sandisk, and i havn't experienced the problem until now. My 1st thoughts were that maybe dust had gotten into the card slot somehow, but i may be wrong.
Guest squall Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 The cards are designed such that the contacts are wiped when entering the connector, however its worth wiping the card contacts yourself. Its possible the card reader is damaged, but i would try formatting the card before considering this. To format the card use http://www.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=7065>Task Manager from www.binarys.com
