Guest Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 (edited) Surely they can be bought for less than £150 that's stupidly expensive. Edited January 1, 2005 by Guest
Guest Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 It's kind of putting me off getting a C500. I have a 1Gb SD card for my E200 and guess I'd have to get a 512MB one if I bought a C500. I'm tempted to get a C500 now the price is below £150 for a pay-as-you-go one. I'm not interested in a contract at all.
Guest sparkisgti Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 just put your old ones on ebay.. or buy a tom tom go and use them on that like i have :) mini sd is brand new so its gonna be costly like 1gig sd was last year.. its what happens if you want the latest technology straight away..will always cost a premium
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 1Gb miniSD is £120 at www.mobymemory.com
Guest Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 (edited) Thanks. I looked on eBay and can barely find anyone selling MiniSD. just put your old ones on ebay.. or buy a tom tom go and use them on that like i have :) But you can't put SD cards into a C500? TomTom looks great but for that price you can buy a proper GPS system. Edited January 1, 2005 by Guest
Guest chucky.egg Posted January 1, 2005 Report Posted January 1, 2005 C500 takes miniSD which are physically smaller than SD (as the name implies) - so SD won't fit in a miniSD device, but miniSD can be used in a normal SD device TomTom Go takes normal SD cards, and it *is* a complete GPS route nav solution. Not seen one in the flesh, but it looks good, the £350 price tag put me off. TomTom Mobile is the software-only solution for your phone (except that they make you buy a new GPS anyway, so it's not really software-only)
